When will the 2021 price increase be effective?

Minimal pricing adjustments in Hong Kong will take effect on Wednesday, 8 December 2021, in the afternoon HKT. 


Why are we experiencing a price increase?

Due to increased costs of raw ingredients and other materials used to manufacture our products, OPTAVIA is taking similar measures by increasing the price of most OPTAVIA products in Hong Kong.

When will OPTAVIA Clients be notified?

OPTAVIA Clients in Hong Kong with a Premier order that has processed in the last three months will be notified via email on Saturday, 4 December 2021, and onwards. The 4 and 7-day transactional emails will also alert OPTAVIA’s Clients and Coaches in Hong Kong of the upcoming price increase. 


With this pricing increase, why is there an adjustment to my CV and, not QV?

In OPTAVIA CONNECT reporting, you will notice that your CV for recent and upcoming orders on or after 8 December 2021, will increase based on these minimal pricing adjustments. QV will remain the same as we decoupled the QV to protect the duplication model from inflation. 


If an independent OPTAVIA Coach in Hong Kong quotes an OPTAVIA Client the old price of an OPTAVIA product prior to the price adjustment, will we honor the old price?

No, the price of OPTAVIA products in Hong Kong are driven by the price in the system at the time an order is placed. 


Why is the price of my Client’s order from 8 December 2021, higher than their last order? 

Effective Wednesday, 8 Decemeber, 2021, in the afternoon HKT, the prices of most OPTAVIA products in Hong Kong will be slightly adjusted. Due to increased cost of raw ingredients and other materials used to manufacture our products, OPTAVIA is taking similar measures by adjusting the price of most OPTAVIA products. 


If an OPTAVIA Client in Hong Kong returns an order placed before Wednesday 8 December 2021, will they be refunded for the old or adjusted price? 

All refunds will reflect the amount paid for the order. For example, if the order is purchased prior to 8 December 2021, the refund will reflect old pricing. If the order is purchased on or after 8 December 2021, the refund will reflect the adjusted pricing. 


Will there be an outage on OPTAVIA.HK while product pricing is adjusted? 

Yes, there is a planned outage on OPTAVIA.HK on  8 December 2021, at 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM HKT while product prices are adjusted. A maintenance page will be displayed for the duration of the outage, and we will alert all OPTAVIA Coaches in Hong Kong before the system outage via a post on Hong Kong’s Agents of Transformation Facebook Group. 


What if a Hong Kong Client has an order in their template 2 days prior to the effective date of the pricing increases? Will they be charged for the new or old pricing? 

Unless the Client modifies their template, they will see the old pricing; however, upon checkout, new prices will be reflected for any impacted products. 


Will OPTAVIA Premier templates be adjusted on 8 December 2021?

No, it may take several days for the new pricing to appear in Premier templates; however, while Clients in Hong Kong may see old pricing, the new pricing will be reflected for any impacted products upon checkout.


Will OPTAVIA CONNECT reporting be completely updated on 8 December 2021?

No, some OPTAVIA CONNECT reports, like Projected Premier, may take several days to fully update.
